    Launching the festivities surrounding the 75th anniversary of the Barrie Memorial Hospital, the third edition of the golf tournament on behalf of the Barrie Memorial Hospital Foundation was a great success. Held on May 30, $55,000 was raised during the event to be used to purchase a heart monitor for the Intensive Care Unit.

  • Sale of artworks benefiting the foundation

    The painter, engraver and sculptor François Belpaire, well known in the Haut-St-Laurent, will offer more than 250 of his works on the occasion of a big charity auction to be held at the Alfred-Langevin room at 10 King Street, Huntingdon, Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 10:00 to 16:00 and Sunday, May 11, from 13:00 to 16:00, to benefit four charities in the region.

    The Barrie Memorial Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department now has a brand new look with its CT scanner operational and ready to receive clientele. The renovation of the Medical Imaging Department, specifically to accommodate the installation of a scanner, allows the Haut-Saint-Laurent HSSC to offer a complete range of medical imaging services, thus providing an improved service to the population since diagnoses will be made much more quickly and efficiently.
