Support for the Foundation's Residence

The Foundation's residence began welcoming medical residents in July 2013. Since then, 36 general medicine residents and 13 surgical residents have benefited from the use of the Foundation's residence during their internships at Barrie Memorial Hospital and the Ormstown Medical Center. An internship at our hospital can last from one to three months. The Foundation's residence is also available to emergency department physicians and admitting physicians. Since its inception, we have hosted more than 20 stays, ranging from one night to longer, for these physicians. In the photo, Madeleine Greig, President of the Hospital Foundation, accepts a $2,000 donation for the Foundation's residence from Chrystian Soucy, Mayor of the Municipality of Ormstown. This support will help the Foundation maintain a quality environment for our residents and physicians.
